About This Blog /FAQs

Who Am I?
I'm a full time Stay-At-Home Mom, which essentially means I don't have time to complicate my life.....Don't have time. Period!!

Who I am NOT?
I'm NOT a "cook book writer" OR a "chef" OR somebody who creates NEW recipes OR someone who wants to "sell" recipes!

Why This Blog?  Why write about a Done-to-death topic on the net?
Because, I've, at times, spent frustratingly LONG HOURS searching for a deceptively simple recipe, only because most of the sites which cater to this niche ARE JUST TOO COMPLICATED!!

I don't know about you but I've wasted a sizeable chunk of my time getting lost in the veritable maze of mind-boggling list of recipes. (I once spent close to two hours looking for a 'different' grilled chicken recipe and in the end, got so confused that followed my own recipe!)

Why expect you to spend time in here when you probably have it all 'out there' already?
DO spend time here if you want:
  • NATURALLY Healthy Low fat recipes.  I would give you recipes which you can feed your kids as well as your husband! And STILL be comfortable in the knowledge they are all getting healthy, whole some, low fat, free of chemicals and preservatives food.
  • SIMPLE, NO-FUSS, UNCOMPLICATED Family recipes.  I won't give you a "healthy low fat" recipe which requires 50 exotic ingredients.  BUT if you are looking for " baking" recipes, I'd expect that you have ususal baking ingredients in store!
  • To AVOID WASTING TIME in looking for an easy recipe.  I promise you wouldn't get lost in a maze here or be buried under an avalanche of recipes!  TOO much choice only adds to confusion and stress of having to take a decision.
P.S. Once you visit my blog, you can tell me other reasons which brought (& hopefully) keep you here :)

DON'T stay here if you are:
  • Expecting to find esoteric, COMPLICATED, fussy food recipes!  I don't follow such recipes and you wouldn't find any here!
  • Looking for "ORIGINAL" recipes.  All my recipes are the ones I've sourced over the years from the internet, books, magazines, friends, and the like, and, invariably, added my own personal touch to them.  But, I make no tall claims that these are my "Original" creations!  BTW, I don't know how much of the information we have today is "original" in the real sense of the word, on ANY topic :)
  • Expecting to find ARTIFICAL SUBSTITUTES as a means to arrive at "low fat" recipes.  If you are looking for that kind of low fat food, sorry, you are in the wrong place!  I just DON'T cook such food and neither would I recommend it!  I cook essentially for families which include small kids.  So, artifical substitues, chemical preservatives and man made inventions in name of 'food' are TOTALLY OUT for me.....Not that they are any good for adults too!  For instance, I won't give you a recipe which has egg substitution, low fat readymade sauces(LOTS of artificial elements there!), artificial sugar substitutes and other strange chemical compounds.
